Hamamelis water is produced from the flowers of Hamamelis virginiana L.ChemistryLato sensu flavonoids are pigments almost universally present in vegetables. Almost always watersoluble, they are responsible for the colour of flowers, fruits and some times, leaves. All flavonoids more than 4,000 come from a common biosynthetic origin and therefore share the same basic structural element, namely a 2-phenylchromane skeleton. Due to this structural homogeneity, a large number of substances are included under this name.
